-
The point source consists of a laser diode, a lens coupling mechanism, and a singlemode or polarization maintaining fiber with a polished ferrule.
-
An 8° angle polished ferrule is recommended for stable power and wavelength output. Options include a laser diode driver circuit, power supply, Peltier cooler, and Peltier driver circuit.
-
Please read our Fiber Optic Stable Source and/or TE Cooled Laser Diode Housing data sheet for further information.
-
The singlemode fiber acts as a spatial filter to clean up the laser diode output profile.
-
The beam coming out of the fiber will be circular Gaussian beam profile.
-
The beam is with better than l/20 wavefront distortion. Fiber collimators or focusers could be attached onto the fiber end.
